Master of Arts in Apologetics

Overview

The Master of Arts in Apologetics is a 54 credit hour degree designed to provide the student with advanced knowledge in defending the rationale and superiority of the Christian Worldview. It equips the student to compare and contrast Christianity with other competing religions and worldviews at a philosophical, scientific, and biblical level. Moreover, the Master of Arts in Apologetics strengthens one's ability to effectively evangelize in the multi diverse culture of the day. The degree is designed simply to teach Christians what they believe, why they believe it, provide adequate justification for it, and successfully defend it. The capstone of the degree is the student's choice of a thesis, comprehensive exam, or a ministry project.

  • A thorough understanding of the nature, structure, and narrative of the Bible

  • Identify basic biblical orthodoxy and orthopraxy and make proper application for the current reader 

  • Understanding of Biblical, Systematic, and Historical Theology

  • Communicate God's Word effectively through preaching or teaching

  • Ability to evangelize culturally and cross-culturally

  • Develop a complete Biblical Worldview with the ability to apply it to every area of life

  • The ability to analyze, compare, and contrast worldviews that are antithetical to the Christian Worldview

  • Advanced understanding of major contemporary social, cultural, and theological issues challenging Christianity today

  • Develop the tools and skills necessary for further research and study to cultivate a lifelong biblical learning process

  • Enhance your ministerial skills such as, preaching, teaching, counseling, leadership, administration, education, evangelism, or spiritual formation

Admission

Admission into the Master of Arts in Apologetics requires a bachelor's degree. The remaining admission requirements are listed below.

  3. Provide a personal bio

  4. Supply two references (preferably one pastoral and one academic)

  5. Provide transcript(s)
